REFLECTION | 2004
The video is made with animated photos of the painting. The animation is
made with a graphic-program and, after that, transformed with a simple
video application into a 20 min loop. The animation-effects include the
figure breathing. The idea is to combine two different media in order to
create a picture, and the title ‘Reflection’ is inspired by this. The
result of the work is a “moving, three dimensional” image, which is the
hybrid of painting and video. The hybrid picture can only exist in the
moment of the projection, which means that it is happening live.
